My (24F) friend (26 M) 'joked' about wanting to date minors, I'm not sure how to perceive this
My friend from college (who is actually involuntary celibate but doesn't show overt incel behaviour) said he wants to date 'hot teenagers' and when i called him out on it, he tried to pass it off as a joke. Except the context for this conversation is that his flatmate's 17 y/o brother was moving in with them and this said friend wanted this younger brother to bring teen girls to their apartment for him to 'date' (whatever that means). On being called out he said that being a creep is the only way to get girls now and he then tried to pass it off as a joke.
The thing is, this is exactly how i was SA'ed as a teenager and when i pointed that out to him, he doubled down on how the joke is funny and it's my problem i don't find it appropriate. Some mutual friends are trying to act like all of this is just 'innocent' behaviour and he wouldn't harm minors or women. But the truth is he has shown signs of misogyny and incel narratives earlier as well and his disregard for my SA experience, his doubling down on 'dating minors', makes me wonder if he is exhibiting predatory behaviour.
