[HIRING] Long-Term Short-Form Editor for Voice Acting Shorts
I’m looking for a short-form video editor for ongoing voice acting shorts.
I create vertical voice acting videos for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels. Most videos are around 30-60 seconds. Some may rarely go up to around 1 minute and 45 seconds, but that would not be the normal length.
I already have a simple editing style and format. I am not looking for a huge production-style edit, custom animation, or anything overly complicated. I need someone who can follow the style I am already using, make the videos cleaner, and help me stay consistent.
I provide:
Finished voice recording
Script
Basic tone or character direction if needed
I need help with:
Editing the video
Using fitting GIFs/images/simple visuals for the intro/setup
Making the actual performance section feel more serious and polished
Simple title cards or text if needed
Quiet background music when it fits
Final vertical export for Shorts, Reels, and TikTok
The beginning of the video can be lighter and more social-media friendly. For example, using GIFs/images/simple visuals that match what I am saying in the intro or setup.
Once the actual voice acting performance starts, I want the edit to become a little more serious and focused. Nothing overdone, just visuals that fit the character, tone, or emotion of the read.
I am not using face cam, so the visuals matter. The goal is to keep viewers engaged while still keeping the voice acting as the focus.
I am not looking for:
Loud over-the-top sound effects
Chaotic meme edits
Emoji-heavy captions
Random backgrounds thrown behind audio
Overly busy editing that distracts from the performance
I am looking for:
Clean editing
Simple but fitting visuals
Good pacing
A consistent style
Someone who can follow examples
Someone reliable enough for weekly work
Goal:
3 videos per week
I provide recordings/scripts on Sundays
Ideal posting schedule is Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday evenings Eastern Time
Budget:
This is a paid long-term position. My current budget range is up to $490/month depending on workload, quality, and agreement. I would like to start with a paid test edit first, then move into weekly work if it is a good fit.

UPDATE:
A lot of people have asked for examples of my current editing style. I am on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube at ChrisMatVO.
I’m looking for someone who can follow that general format, clean it up, use fitting visuals for the intro/setup, and make the performance section feel a little more polished without over-editing it.
