Monster high and collecting is such a HUGE part of my life and often I get waves of anxiety when it comes to the amount of dolls that I have. Don’t get me wrong, I love every single one of my dolls, but the sheer amount that sits in my small room overwhelms me to the point where I want to get rid of them all. My room used to be much less packed since I really only had posters and bags to display. But now everywhere I look there is a doll.

I’m not complaining that I have been able to get them, obviously I’m grateful. However my room just never feels tidy. I can declutter all I want but it will never be breathable and clean. It’s the constant battle between displaying a few characters and putting the rest in storage vs having dolls displayed in lines, by character, by date (for skullectors) and by releases (SDCC, fangvote, collector)

Does anyone else get this feeling? If so, what do you do to ease it?

Currently making a ryuk doll from this spare reel drama Frankie I had and I’m not sure how to feel about her… I’ve mocked up her outfit a billion times but still haven’t landed on something solid. Right now she’s wearing a strapless top with detached sleeves that have feathering detail at the top (which you can’t even see in the picture 😭). I added a pop of blue to her skirt but now I’m wondering if it is too bright of a blue? And I’m concerned that the cuts look a bit too amateur 😅

Her hair was also a nightmare to deal with since rerooting makes me want to rip my skin apart. It’s super messy but I’m blaming that on the fact that ryuk has messy/spikey hair in the manga/anime 😭

I am a severe perfectionist who likes my customs to look at the very least “real” if that makes sense, so any help or tips would be appreciated!!

Note: I do have some accessories otw that might help (heart earring, better belt, corset etc)

The doll itself was super easy but the BOX…yeah never again. Matte vinyl sticker paper is my absolute worst enemy but designing the background (although you can’t see it 😑) and the side image on photoshop was soo fun.

Kinda hoping they don’t actually release her cause mine would look so bad next to it 😭

I was just scrolling on Instagram and found out there’s going to be ANOTHER Wednesday doll?? As if she doesn’t already have 2, a fashion pack, and a skullector (not technically Wednesday but it’s still the addams family). I dont know what is going on at MH/Mattel but someone on that board is obsesseddd with Wednesday, as if they don’t have the rights to make literally anybody else?? Like pack it up guys, we get it. Personally I haven’t seen a soul asking for more Wednesday dolls, but if you’re glad about it then who am I to take that away from you? I’m happy for those who want her, but they could be making anything else but this.

With the doll itself, she doesn’t even look that different from her normal one? Like at least add some flare or theme to her. Did she not wear anything interesting in the show or something? Her dolls is also STILL IN STORES! I’ve seen 20 of them in one store agesss after she was released, so this seems like the most backwards business decision I’ve ever seen. It’s so illogical to me from a company that is usually incredibly money hungry.

Idk maybe I’m alone in this but I really am sick of seeing dolls that no one (from what I see) are asking for. Some newer g3 dolls are looking better, but most of the newer skullectors have either been stuff that nobody asked for, or chopped versions of characters we actually wanted.(excluding shorty from this bc I love her)

If it were up to me, I’d pack up this Wednesday (and also beetlejuice) obsession and actually LISTEN to what the community is asking for.

I just recently got a bubbly mermaid Lalaloopsy and I LOVE her…I just wish she wasn’t a mermaid so I can redress her 😅

Does anyone have any experience with rebodying Lalaloopsy dolls? I only know how to rebody monster high since their heads are very malleable after boiling water. Would I be able to boil the bubbly mermaids head?

I’ve also noticed that her head is different to the normal ones, where it seems WAY more secure and doesn’t tip from side to side.

Can anyone help me? Or will I just have to suck it up and keep her as a mermaid 😞
