For me it's pretty interesting. Why SDCC exclusive dolls, specifically had I 🖤 Fashion release? I guess it's because they came with a lot of clothes which kind of filled the 'lack of clothes and accessories void' (Idk how to explain that)

Also, while Iris and Wydowna were from different years, they share similar makeup colours - teal/baby blue. I wonder if they were originally supposed to be released at the same time.

I’ve been collecting dolls for a year or so and have a fair few g1 and skullectors, but recently i received G3 nefera for my birthday!
i decided to give her a little restyle and a hair change, it’s exciting to have a playline doll that is still in stock so i feel more confident changing up her style. my other monster high dolls i all keep in their original outfits, so it was really fun to play around with her original color palette with new clothes!
i still definitely G1 over G3 overall, but this nefera and some other G3 dolls are absolutely gorgeous, and I’m in love with how well made they feel and all the fun accessories they come with.

I just find out that the last issue with Cleo/Deuce will no longer be published! IDW lost the license for Monster High 😭😭😭😭

I'm super happy with how they turned out!

Though i am wondering about adding a bit of that purple-pinkish colour fearbook Drac has in her eye makeup and lil heart on her beret somewhere on her shoes maybe so it's a little bit more cohesive with the rest?

It's honestly kinda insane to me just how many details every single thing they have (especially shoes!) has sculpted on. It's such a shame they're practically always unpainted and therefore often unnoticed 😓

I can't wait to paint another batch (i think I'm gonna buy someone else from the bday line, they're just too good 🩷🩷)

I am finally sorting through my G1 dolls and looking to sell them after being out of the hobby for a while. I figure they would get more love elsewhere and I as sat down to sort some of them out, I'm finding that past me's redressing is causing current me some major headaches!

Currently looking on every wiki I can find to match shoes correctly is doing me in whilst melting in the heat!

shocked to see them so quickly! sometimes it takes months or even a year lol. i thought maybe theyd never even come as fearbooks have sometimes been exclusives

I recently got the g3 werecat twins at twins from Facebook marketplace and did a bit of restyling and wanted to share! Most of my restyling is usually done with just other pieces of other dolls that happen to have, and there’s a lot going on here so I’d love to break it down lmao. I’ll start with meowlody, to start she is wearing neon frights draculaura’s boots, day out draculauras pink sheer undershirt, and hauntlywood cattys belt (repainted), gloves and hands. For Purrsephone i clearly preferred what she already had going on more, shoes and tights are from fearbook toralei and hauntlywood clawdeens hands! I also used a pair of robeccas short to create a second pair of purrsephones shorts so they could match! More small details i added were chroming accessories and bending the tails to a heart shape! I hope yall enjoy this little restyle as much as i do! 🩷💜🐈🐈‍⬛

I got all of this from Facebook marketplace for $550. Yes! You heard that right! $550 for the first three Haunt couture dolls 2 clawdeen creepros and 1 of the other first 3 core characters as well 3 as well as all those first edition dolls that are complete with their accessories and diaries! I traveled two hours for this lot and it was so stinking worth it!!! I’m sooo happy with my ghouls rn! I’ve always wanted haunt couture drac but her prices are crazy these days lol. So glad to have her in the skullection at last!😭 Also huge s/o to the very sweet lady who sold them to me. You’re awesome!!!🥹

Someone asked on the other post for Frankie unboxed, so here they are!

- yes the blue top part is separate from the dress
- these photos make Frankie seem greenish, they are their normal g3 blue
- not really a fan of how Frankie’s hair is cut, but I guess that leans into the punk aesthetic
- there’s a little ipod looking detail on Frankie’s leg, not sure if that’s intended to be that but very cool

For reference, I am 24F. Supportive might sound weird, like it’s just collecting, what’s the big deal? But I’ve seen how judgmental and rude people can be towards collectors of dolls while it’s usually not the same towards Hot Wheels or Pokémon card collectors.

I grew up with Monster High, Bratz, and Barbie and started collecting again in 2021 at 20. My parents and sister didn’t even judge me once, but I hid my collection from my older brother, SIL, and basically didn’t tell anyone else in my family because I was scared of being judged. I finally told my brother and SIL a few years back and they thought it was so cool (especially since she grew up with Bratz), and my brother would always be like “I remember that one!”, “is this one worth anything, you should sell it” (I tell him no lol). My mom accidentally told my aunts and I was mortified, but they were also supportive and now I’m like unapologetically a doll collector. Always “who wants to see my collection?”

I show my mom new dolls, my sister too. I get their opinions, cute or not? Worth the price? And all that. They both even buy me dolls for Christmas and birthdays.

So I wanted to know if you guys have any positive stories. I also know that me being female probably helps, unlike male fans who get judged a lot unfortunately.

Edit: not looking for nib specifically, just clean mostly complete. if the doll is worth more then mine I would obviously add money or more dolls common sense is free guys I obviously don’t expect someone to do a huge overpay :)

I only got Frankie because I didn’t like the screening on the other dolls. Also she’s my favorite of the core 4 lol!
