i found a video

of when my baby girl arrived at the rescue where i adopted her.

and it made me burst into tears. i don't understand how anyone could dump an animal or abandon them. it's heartless and cruel. she looked so rough when they got her. it broke my heart.

artemis rarely flops on her side

she usually flops upright so i had a heart attack when i looked over and she was on her side 😭

artemis has discovered windows

and has promptly ripped out all the blinds that can block her view 😂

she's pouting

someone is mad i won't let her chew on my knitting needles.

look at those ears 😂

sometimes i forget how big her ears are until i take a picture of her

also i have given up on stopping her from getting into her hay storage. she hasn't used it as a litterbox so as long as she keeps that up, i admit defeat.

switching needles

i attempted to start the roomy raglan last night but when i went to work on the german short rows i ran into a problem.

i don't have interchangeable needles at the moment so i tried to knit with the new needles foe the short rows and it just made a huge mess.

would it have been a problem if i had knit one more round to switch my needle size and then start the short rows?

i gave up in a fit of frustration as it was 2 am and i just frogged it all 😂

tried to gather evidence and failed

she was finally using one of her hides and i tried to take photographic evidence. once she realized what i was doing she got up 😂

caught her redhanded

this little stinker found her way into the hay storage.

i rearranged as i worry she would use it as a litterbox but she is a very good girl with her litter habits so maybe i'm just paranoid

finally found something that works

i have been struggling with type 2 rosacea for years now and nothing i did ever made it better. it was getting so bad i thought i was having a dermatitis outbreak instead (which i also deal with) so i went to a new dermatologist.

she gave me prescriptions for ivermectin and emrosi. its been almost a month now and i have seen such a dramatic shift in my skin. i never thought it would be this clear again but somehow it is. i feel like myself again after struggling for so long. i still get the occasional spot but its nowhere near what it used to be.

we adopted our sweet girl today.

she was abandoned on a ranch before taken to the rescue we got her from. they named her enid but we decided on artemis as a play on the werewolf/moon reference of enid.

she has only been home for about 30 minutes but i love her so much already.
