James Lee's path- "Divine Intervention"
This is more of a theory on the reasoning behind James having a path like this.
(Don't take it too seriously I'm just bored and this could totally be wrong)
So far there are only 3 characters whose paths have both been witnessed by readers and have been explained and those 3 are Daniel, Jinyoung, and Johan. Now the root of all of their paths is based on how they use the copy ability, Jinyoung being able to copy unique skills therefore he gets to use the strengths of every copy for his attacks, Johan having an omni directional attack because he is the best at mixing up his copies resulting to adaptable and fluid attack patterns, and Daniel combining his copy ability with his 5 senses in order to predict the strike arc of every attack and sensing his opponents' weak points. Their paths are tied to their most treasured abilities.
Now here is where James path differs because I think his path is tied to his narrative as a character. Now think of how he was portrayed throughout the manhwa, winning multiple awards at school for sports, art, music etc. Proceeds to beat an entire generation of fighters to solidify his standing as the peak of that generation and then disappears to become a Kpop idol in which he succeeded again, even becoming the head of an entire entertainment agency which is an insane achievement that he did in just 4 years as a early 20-something year old and is now focusing on politics in which he will likely be at the top again. If there was a venn diagram of lookism characters that are in the pinnacle of fighting, success in their endeavors, and also at being conventionally good looking then James sits at the very center of that venn diagram. And in the story of Lookism where the themes of society evaluating you based on looks and social status, James is the ultimate product of that society, He IS Lookism.
Now as for why he has this path and why it keeps on saving him every time he's put in dangerous situations, what would people in real life say when they see someone who's good looking, rich and possesses talent that puts them on the top of everything? "Life is so unfair" or "Man that person just has everything" but there is one line that captures the feeling of unfairness of seeing someone that perfect, and that is "God really has favorites". In the world of Lookism where perfection is the most valued but is still imperfect because it is riddled with evil, wouldn't it make sense for James Lee, the one closes to being a perfect human, to be the one chosen by God himself to cleanse the world of all evil? Look at his arrival during HFBD and HFG arc when his arrival halted the rain which has become symbolic to Gun's character, or when he brought back color to the chapter after Jaegyeon was about to land his death kick. Even in the recent chapter where he completely frees the room off of Tom's bloodlust like all of these are just examples of him completely overturning these dangerous situations because he is God's favorite. God does NOT want him to lose therefore he has been granted luck a.k.a divine interventions that wins him fights from extremely dangerous positions and through these divine interventions he wins every single decisive exchanges in fights.
