First time parents, struggling to get our newborn to sleep during the hours of 7pm to 2am. He is 3 weeks old and you can see him fighting sleep through most of it.
We have tried everything we can think of but he fusses the whole time and refuses to sleep. If he does fall asleep it is quite restless where he keeps waking up every minute or two. The moment you move him to the bassinet he is wide awake again.

Has anyone experienced something like this and do they have any advice? We would love to get some sleep!

EDIT: We understand newborns don’t sleep through the night. Our main concern is that he doesn’t sleep at all from 7pm to 2am. It seems like a long time for him to be awake.
