i cant tolerate this anymore 😭🙏

Bro who tf imported these retarded ass mosquitoes into our gents hostel 😭😭. I have A1+ blood and these mfs are treating me like an unlimited buffet.. whole night they were doing aerial attacks near my ears like they paid hostel fees too... i got like 3 hours of sleep max. gng i was actually fighting for my life last night 😭.

The weird part is… are these mosquitoes only targeting me?? My roommates are chilling while i'm getting jumped by an entire squadron.

There are a few waste water pits nearby and i'm 99% sure these demons are spawning there in industrial quantities.... this is my first year second day, and i'm already considering transferring hostels bcuz of these biches 💀.... have any seniors already complained about this or is everyone just accepting their fate? as a first year can i even file a complaint or do I have to survive the mosquito initiation ritual first? 😭🙏

hrlp me gng before they drain my entire bloodline🙏😔💔

SNU Chennai hostel fees confusion – Is it really ₹5+ lakhs per year in total?

Hi everyone,
I just want to know few information about hostel fees,
From what ik : tuition fee: ₹3,50,000/year
hostel (shared room, non AC): ₹85,000/year
hostel (shared room, AC): ₹1,37,000/year

But i also heard from a senior that the food/mess charges are around ₹7,000 per month...which comes to roughly ₹84,000/year.

If thats true does that mean the total yearly cost is:

  • Non-AC: ₹3.5L + ₹85k + ₹84k = ₹5.19 lakhs/year
  • AC: ₹3.5L + ₹1.37L + ₹84k = ₹5.71 lakhs/year

is this actually how the fee structure works, or am i misunderstanding something?
Are the mess charges compulsory and charged separately every month, or are they already included in the hostel fee?

I'd really appreciate it if current students or parents could clarify the actual yearly expenses. Thanks!

TCE ECE (VLSI DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY) (SS) via TNEA vs SNU Chennai (IT) via SNUCEE - Which one should I choose?

Hi everyone,

i'm really confused and would appreciate some honest advice from seniors...i have already paid the admission fees for SNUC (IT) bcuz i didn't want to lose my seat.

Now, in TNEA 2026, i've been allotted:

  • Thiagarajar College of Engineering (TCE), Madurai
  • ECE (VLSI Design & Technology) (Self-Supporting)

The main reason i'm reconsidering is fees....TCE will cost significantly less than studying IT at SNUC, so roi is an important factor for my family...

a little about me:

  • Interested in ai, programming and software, but i'm also open to electronics if the opportunities are good.
  • i don't have a strong preference for core VLSI over software.
  • Long term goal is simply to get good placements and build a successful career.

My questions are:

  1. If you were in my position, which would you choose?
  2. Is TCE's lower fee worth choosing over SNU IT?
  3. How are the placements and opportunities for ECE (VLSI) at TCE compared to IT at SNU?

i'd really appreciate opinions from current students or alumni of TCE and SNU Chennai rather than marketing claims.

Thanks in advance! 🙏
