Grooming tip that changed my life!

I know the title is a little bit dramatic, but I have really struggled grooming my MC. He has very fine fur (some breeders call it candy floss coat) but soooooo much of it and it gets a lot of static.

When I usually brush him I barely get any fur out because the brush kind of glides through and he gets matted really quickly. (It glides but doesn't seem to reach the deeper layers no matter what brush I try).

The other day I randomly wet my hands and wiped them down his fur and then brushed him while he was damp and omg, I have NEVER had so much success with brushing. The fur came out easily and smoothly with no static. He even seemed happier to let me do it!

Such a random, simple tip, but I wish I had done this years ago and wanted to help anyone who may also be struggling.
