For context, I was looking up some films on a streaming platform, and I came across a movie poster depicting a group of black kids running in some kind of grassy field while holding or chasing kites, and the film was released in 2025 or 2026. It’s not the 2007 The Kite Runner movie, the description on the summary spoke of how it’s about a young girl and her friends living a typical, fun life together, but I think what happens is that the happiness is cut short when the kids start either moving away or go to school, and yet the girl wants to keep playing and refuses to accept change. Does anyone know what the film is called?
