Do the Freeform’s look tough?

I’ve been freeforming since early to mid March and i wanna know if they look good or if there are any improvements I can make? (Couldn’t find any better pictures of them sorry)

Do I use a pick for Freeform’s

I’ve been freeforming for a while now and I’ve noticed that they’ve been growing rather slowly and I’ve been seeing tutorials using picks for the roots which I’ve seen give hair more volume so I’m wondering if I should use an Afro pick for my Freeforms
