Issues with cage in Substance painter
So I’ve been stuck on this issue for a while and no one I’ve asked has been able to figure it out. My exam is coming up, so I’m kinda desperate at this point TT
I’m trying to bake my high poly onto my low poly mesh, but I keep getting errors. In the bake preview, the mesh stays completely red unless the cage overlaps/intersects itself. As soon as the cage is properly outside the mesh, it turns red again. (image 1,2)
The low poly was made in Blender, and the high poly was sculpted in ZBrush. I’ve actually baked this model successfully before, but this time I redid the UVs because the old UV map wasn’t very good.
Things I’ve already checked:
- Normals should all be correct
- Applied all transforms
- Rechecked the UVs
- Cage settings seem normal (I think)
I’m honestly at a loss now. Has anyone run into this before or knows what could be causing it?
