A few takeaways post the Usyk vs Rico fight and what this means for the future of the division

- Usyk looked like shit, dude should retire soon or someone beats him. He probably didn't take it 100% serious given his career heaviest weight but I think it's mostly the age getting to him. He's ready for the taking by one of the top contenders, now some guys got a realistic chance of beating him

- People grade fights by a curve, aka giving the big underdog all the competetive rounds cause they expect nothing from him and hence give him more credit than the other guy for the same success

- Both guys landed similar amounts of shots, Usyk landed the hardest ones although in only 3 rounds, Rico was more ative and outworked Usyk in most rounds

- Coppinger can't score fights to save his life

- The ref was terrible and robbed everyone: Usyk from a likely conclusive stoppage, Rico from a chance to continue and of course the fans

- A point should've been taken after Rico intentionally spit out his mouthpiece

- The ref stopped it after the bell rung, like wtf

- Official cards were slightly favoring Usyk but not that bad, 96-94 Rico was probably the fair score

- People in the boxing business will love the ref cause controversy is ideal for rematches, look at Froch vs Groves 2

- High chance Usyk fights Rico in a rematch next instead of Kabayel and you guys will cause this

- Usyk figured Rico out late and finally started landing his shots, he will win the rematch much easier and stop him in the middle rounds. The element of surprise is gone and Usyk always does better in rematches.

- Rico fought small and that will cost him vs guys his size, he got away with it cause he was fighting a much smaller man. If he fights like that vs a natural heavyweight, who is good at boxing, dude gets slept.

- Rico and his team would've likely stopped it in the corner anyways, dude had to be helped to walk, he was finished but deserved to get thorugh the round and then go from there (let the corner decide). That's why I think he didn't bitch about the stoppage.

- There was no Vada for this card....just pointing it out.
