EAD?

Hi, I wanted to ask from a broader trend perspective — recently, are you seeing more 2025 AOS filers (especially family-based cases) getting their green card interviews scheduled before EAD approval, and then receiving EAD/AP only after the interview or close to final adjudication?

It feels like fewer standalone EAD approvals are happening compared to before. Is this becoming a noticeable USCIS pattern lately, or is it just anecdotal?

Also, could this be connected to increased vetting/scrutiny on marriage-based cases — meaning USCIS may prefer to confirm the relationship is genuine through the interview process before approving benefits like EAD/AP?

I-485 Updated to “Case Is Still Being Processed” After Uploading Additional Marriage Evidence — Anyone Seen This?

Hi everyone, trying to understand a recent update on my I-485 and I-130 case and wondering if anyone has seen something similar.

My timeline:

• Entered US on B1/B2: May 5, 2025
• Married to LPR: Aug 12, 2025
• I-130 filed: Aug 26, 2025
• I-485 / I-765 / I-131 filed: Oct 3, 2025
• Biometrics completed: Nov 5, 2025
• NBC office
• C09 category

After biometrics, there were no updates for months.

On May 1, 2026, we uploaded additional bona fide marriage evidence to both I-130 and I-485:
- Joint federal tax return (2025)
- State tax return

Today (May 10, 2026), I received the USCIS email for both I-485 and I-130.
“We have taken an action on your case.”

Now my I-485 case history shows a new update dated May 11, 2026:
“Case Is Still Being Processed By USCIS”

No interview notice / approval / RFE yet.

Has anyone seen this happen after uploading unsolicited evidence? Did it just mean the uploads were acknowledged, or did it indicate the case was actually reviewed/touched by an officer?

Would really appreciate hearing similar experiences.
