Wild grey advice? I wanna keep my low maintenance routine
I (33) am trying to embrace the grey/white! However, this patch on top seem to be particularly random in their behavior. Relative to the rest of my hair, including longer grey/white strands (which I keep shoulder length and wear up off my face in a braid, clip, or pony 95% of the time), these don't want to clump and are super noticeable.
Part of me wants to take the opportunity to go platinum blonde and blend the white in. I've never bleached it, just tried a few box dyes during lockdown.
Routine:
- water hardness is very high (have been experimenting with diluted Borax rinses the past few months to remove mineral buildup)
- wash every 2-3 days with Shea Moisture Low Porosity Weightless Hydrating Shampoo
- condition + detangle with Wet Brush or wide tooth comb every 1-2 days with whatever I have around (currently Redken all soft mega curls)
- style wet hair only by brushing through curl gel (i.e. NYM curl talk or Dippity-Doo curl gelee) and air drying with claw clip holding top 1/2 up.
- sleep with bonnet/silk scrunchie in pineapple
