Has anyone else had Sticky Brand edit your files without permission?
Hey everyone—has anyone else had Sticky Brand (or other printers) take the liberty of editing your artwork files without permission or a proof?
1. Unauthorized Edits I use a consistent frame border for my stickers. It appears their team tried to save time by recycling a previous production template, but accidentally "nested" my new design inside the frame instead of swapping it. I ended up with a defective "frame-within-a-frame" look (photo below). This wasn't a simple misprint; it was an active alteration of my artwork without approval. I had to fight hard with customer service to get them to agree to a replacement, even with providing a screen shot of the order to prove that the uploaded artwork was different from what they provided.
2. Recurring Scaling Issues I order their 4-inch stickers. They consistently scale them up to 3.5” x 4.5" (my files are exactly the correct size, with vector graphics framing the work). This results in blurry art and stickers that are too large for my standard wholesale displays. Despite adding explicit "Do Not Scale" notes to my last order, they did it anyway.
I’ve ordered 62 sets across two orders, more than $2500 worth of items. Every single one has been incorrect in some way, even the reprints. I’m currently being ghosted by customer service on this latest batch while my wholesale customers continue to wait. I can no longer trust this company with my files.
Has anyone else dealt with this unauthorized editing? Also, I’m looking for recommendations for a professional printer that respects dimensions and offers solid quantity breaks for large batches. I switched to avoid SM, but I need a supplier that I can trust.
