The AI Backlash Could Get Very Ugly

So anyone else really worried things are going to get a lot worse in the US as this fire builds? Especially if people from both major political powers in the US are saying that AI is going to be more beneficial towards the ruling class verses the general public?

I know here people comment that they use local models to avoid giving money to corporate AI companies money, but at the end of the day for the general public , most peoples exposers to AI is going to be a big name program like Grok, CoPilot, ChatGPT, etc.

So question is, given how some of the most public figures of AI aren't good people, how much do you think the Anti-AI sentiment is tied to their actions?

Cause like it or not, we all know what goes viral are often the negative uses of AI being spread. Like the US goverment pushing AI video's of Gaza being turned into a resort with a golden statue of Trump being erected there. Or when Grok allowed CSAM to be made by anyone who asked it to remove cloths of children on X. Or when people use AI to make racist/homophobic content for TikTok, X, Facebook, etc?
