Has anyone had success with IVF at 40 with unexplained infertility, low AMH (6.6 pmol/L), and AFC around 10?
I’m turning 40 and honestly feeling really scared about my chances. We’ve been trying for almost 4 years now with completely unexplained infertility. All our tests always came back “perfect,” so in the beginning doctors kept telling us to keep trying naturally because there was supposedly no reason we shouldn’t conceive on our own.
Over the years I’ve changed my diet, worked with a nutritionist since November 2025, added supplements/vitamins (CoQ10, vitamin D, omega 3, folate, iron, etc.), tried to reduce stress… but still nothing.
I’m now in my first IVF cycle and my first egg retrieval is next week.
I would really appreciate hearing real experiences from women with similar numbers/age:
- How many egg retrievals did it take to get euploid embryos?
- How many retrievals did you do overall?
- Which transfer finally worked?
- Did anyone with unexplained infertility eventually find an answer?
- Did back-to-back retrievals help?
I know everyone is different, but I think I just need some honest stories and a little hope right now. I’m terrified this won’t work after all these years.
