Expanding sound in a room w/ tricky geometry..
This is the space I'm trying to fill out a bit more. Just bought a Beam gen 2 to test out. If you squint, you might make it out in the center of the room propped up on some boxes while I wait for mount to arrive. Also pictured is the projector screen that is the main (/only) screen in the house (yellow cordage also temp, I swear).
The placement on the stairs makes for one tricky - perhaps impossible? - mission for any virtualized sound. As such, the sound is... surprisingly not horrible, but needs to be improved upon.
Have poured through countless posts, and think I've narrowed it down to starting with a sub mini, and two era 100s as fronts. Don't need earth shattering bass, just hoping to take some of the heavy lifting off of the Beam.
Alternatively, I can still return the Beam and go for an Arc Ultra, but my 'guess' is the geometry of the room will make any soundbar struggle to expand the soundstage left.
Any other opinions welcome.
