I know this may sound silly because everybody and their mother tells you WOTR is better. I am level 12 now in WOTR and I love it. Only played BG3 before so that’s my CRPG background.

Now I watched some gameplay of Kingmaker and I expected a worse game than WOTR, but surprisingly to me it looks even better than WOTR. I mean design/graphics, characters, menus/ux/ui.

I also think the fixed camera looks more … cinematic?

I have not played it, only watched some gameplay but I must say I’m kinda stunned how appealing it looks to me.

Your opinions?

Seelah is strong I know but I find her a little boring so I thought about to spice her up with monk because I HEARD in the internets that you can make her very robust without armor this way (insane AC + the ability to hit back if enemy misses an attack on her).

I tried Google AI to help me and it started okay but struggled completely after some levels so in short it messed up totally (AI said we get "Crane Wings" but it didn't knew we can only get it as a 5 or 6 level monk). At least we could take "Crane Style" which is awesome I guess.

My plan was:

- 1 lvl monk (Scaled Fist monk archetype uses Charisma (CHR) instead of Wisdom for its AC bonus and seelah has a lot of CHR)
- longsword (the golden one, forgot the name)
- no armor, shild or else

Any ideas?

I play on CORE on Xbox (conquered Drezen, killed dragon …) and it starts to get annoying with the pre-buffing. I feel I am buffing more than playing and the whole process is a chore with a controller (on top we don’t have that pre-buff mod everybody seems to use on PC).

Are there some tips you can give me? Otherwise I would go down to NORMAL.

Im am conquering Drezen and I am in that fight for nearly 16 (real life) hours (xbox, turnbased, core difficulty). I rested 3 times and the plague is on level 1 for me. 2 of my party members are dead already, so we are 4 people + 1 animal. We are mostly on level 9, one still level 8.

Tbh after reaching the point where I chose my path and got the flag I thought "alright we have a winner here ..." but oh boy it's going on and on ... and on ... .

Did I miss a clean resting point (to heal the plague) or something or is it just the battle of the ages?
