I want to modify a RC car that can do an inspection down a large diameter pipe. The pipe is dry and not commissioned yet. The issue is controlling the car through the ground. I see that fiber optic can be used on drones is there no reason this couldn't be used in a car? Are there any guides on how this can be connected? I do see kits on Aliexpress for fiber and controllers but I dont understand how this ties back into the existing controls.

I could then just add an FPV camera to the car and drive it down the pipe.

Do I have wishful thinking?
