I am a first time DM for DND

technically it’s my second time but this is my first time taking being a DM seriously and I think some improv skills will really help push my story.

I really struggle with the anxiety factor of ‘messing up’ even though it’s a 1v1 campaign with someone I trust. I don’t like doing voice acting on purpose(?) but when I fall into a character it feels natural, I also a struggle to ‘get into character’ quickly.
Any tips is really helpful but in the end this is just for fun but I also want to expand how I can tell a story and react to the player within it.
