Impact of being an Authorized User
I am currently working on rebuilding my credit after being unemployed for a year and a half.
A couple of years ago I became an Authorized User on my Mom’s business credit card so I could get free access to Priority Pass. The card has a $55,000 limit but often carries a balance ~$20k-$30k since she has to purchase materials. The payment history on the card is perfect but my questions are:
- How much does this utilization impact my own score?
- Do different bureaus treat utilization as an Authorized User differently?
- What would the potential point increase look like if I were to remove myself?
