HDR10 playback freezes after random intervals since updating to P3I T4 build (Ugoos AM6B+) – Dolby Vision plays fine
Hi all,
I recently updated my Ugoos AM6B+ to the P3I T4 build of CoreELEC (CPM) and since then I’m having issues with HDR10 playback.
The problem:
When playing HDR10 content, the video freezes after varying amounts of time (sometimes a few minutes in, sometimes later). When I check the Player Process Info during playback, the player cache stays at 0% the whole time. Video queue sits around 15% and audio queue at 99%, AML FPS drops to 0 when it freezes.
What works fine:
Dolby Vision content plays without any issues, no freezes at all.
What I’ve tried:
Converting HDR10 to Dolby Vision via VS10 isn’t an option for me, because that gives me a green/pink discolored image. That’s why I play HDR10 natively (VS10/VP mode disabled, see screenshot).
Setup:
• Ugoos AM6B+ with CoreELEC P3I T4 (CPM build)
• Jellyfin server with media on a NAS
• File in screenshot: 4K HEVC HDR10+, \~13 Mb/s average bitrate, DD+ 5.1 audio
• Output: 3840×2160p 23.976Hz, 12-bit YUV 4:2:2
Screenshot of the Player Process Info attached.
Has anyone experienced this on the T4 build? Is the cache staying at 0% the culprit here, and is there a setting I should change (cache settings, output format), or is this a known regression with native HDR10 playback? Any help is appreciated!
