How do I M19 break up my F19 girlfriend that I’ve been feeling bored with.
I M19 and my partner F19 have been together for almost a year. And in the last few weeks I have begun to feel bored within the relationship. I’ve seen a lot of people talk about how this happens when you don’t have a life or you don’t do exciting things with your partner. But I have many hobby’s, friends, and I work alot we both have our own lives, we go on many different dates from cute walks to roadtrips and so on. I don’t feel as if I have stopped loving my partner but I don’t want to continue the relationship. I have done a lot of brainstorming of possible reasons, one being I will be moving to another state under a contract of at least 9 years and I don’t want to do long distance due to the fact that the first 6 months of our relationship was long distance. She didn’t not move to my state for me, that was always her plan fyi. Another thing that I realized was that I don’t consider my partner my best friend, whilst I believe she does for me. Honestly I understand there is no nice way to break this off for either of us and i know it won’t be easy. But she’s such an incredible, kind, loyal, and loving girl and I just don’t know how to end it without seeming like a cunt. i.e. “I want to break up cause I’m bored.” I plan on doing the breakup in person and giving her a letter that will be able explain it better as I know I won’t be able to speak properly on the day.
Edit. I do also understand that you should break it off immediately after getting these feelings but I wanted to wait until after her uni exams with her final one being on the 15th of June. I did this cause she’s someone who stresses super easily and honestly I think it’d affect her grades. She’ll have 7 weeks off until uni starts again and will she able to spend that time healing, with family, friends and also working I guess.
