I know this a tough question to answer accurately. I’m looking for estimates or insights. I am fundraising for an upcoming project. Supposing that I want to record 10 songs and the songs are mostly 4 minute folk-pop with some orchestral or electronic elements, that I am working with highly competent musicians/engineers and come in with fully written songs and crappy demos, how many hours of studio time would you budget for? My first thought was 10 hours per song including recording and mixing. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.
