Documenting Kei sized fire trucks and equipment

Documenting Kei sized fire trucks and equipment

I recently put together a Git repo for documenting Kei fire trucks, and one of the goals is to create CAD files so owners can recreate equipment that was stripped off or lost and to include information on tasks such as restoring pump equipment

This subreddit being created recently seems very timely :)

Documenting Fire Kei Trucks

Pic Related; it's my truck.

I'm trying to document the Fire Engine kei trucks and put together a website & github to collect data. Right now it's got some filler data that needs validation to form templates for making submissions easier for people to understand. I'm still working on a web form to submit data for those who aren't familiar with Github (I'm accepting PMs or messages on other platforms in the interim).

Looking for:

  • Photos you're willing to share with the world (with things like license plates redacted) under a Creative Commons license https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/deed.en
  • Technical data
  • CAD diagrams of accessories such as Ladders, Nozzle+hose spec's you've encountered
  • Manuals (pump manuals for example; I'm working out a scanning guide with practice on my pump's manual)

I'm compiling the info for my '98 Sambar KS4 fire engine and should have that data online later this week, with CAD files uploaded over the course of the month.

If you have accessories to document I can link you to a cheap reference stick to use in photos to help get geometry or mail one out to you at no cost if you can't pick one up and have accessories of interest

Website (significant work in progress; images broken until new image host is setup): https://keifiretrucks.com
Github: https://github.com/hon1nbo/kei-fire-trucks

Some of the data that needs validating includes the technical details; I've marked those pages as Needing Validation when opened. There's some silly stuff like the Super Carry model being listed under the Sambar :P
