EU261 from Zurich – FOCA says 18 months. Wait or use AirHelp?
Flight from Zurich was delayed due to a mechanical issue → missed connection → arrived 3h+ late.
AA denied €600 compensation, claiming delays aren’t compensable under Swiss EU261 interpretation.
I escalated to FOCA, got a case number, but they say up to 18 months.
Question:
Should I wait for FOCA or go straight to something like AirHelp and take the fee?
