Hey everybody, a couple of friends and I are getting into the older editions of Warhammer. The plan is currently to play 3rd edition, this is because of some banger codicies of that edition and the core rules are quite simple and fun to play with so far. There are a few units (especially Forge World/Imperial Armour units) that were introduced in later editions that we would love to use in 3rd (for example, a friend has a stormlord but that wasn't a tank yet during 3rd).

What is everyone's opinion on the cross compatibility from 4th and 5th edition units in 3rd edition?
