Summer Weddings
I am at the age (M31) where my socially calendar is full of weddings. I am going as a +1 to a wedding this weekend in texas. It’s an outdoor wedding and the weather forecast has it at 92 degrees F. I am discussing with my girlfriend who is close to the groom what the dress code is going to be. The consensus is it’s a jacket and tie affair.
I am writing this here as a kind of Note To Self,,, Moving forward, when agreeing to go to summer weddings I need to communicate in advance that I cannot be wearing a jacket and tie in hot weather. I can wear looser and lighter clothes, or i will stay home and dog-sit my gf’s dog. Ha.
The die is already cast in this weekend and there’s no getting out of it, but I do not want to put myself in this position again!
Since MS heat makes me dizzy and woozy. If I faint at this wedding, I will be mortified. Wish me luck,,, lol.
