I just tried to power my PS2 Slim with a 19.5V AC Dell laptop charger. I thrifted it but it had no power cord. I figured my laptop charger would work so I tried it but it wouldn’t power on. I googled it and it turns out it needs an 8.5V AC adapter and apparently using a higher voltage cord could damage the motherboard. I spent $30 on the console. Please tell me I didn’t just flush it down the drain 🙏
