Walmart not using Tap to Pay

I absolutely hate shopping at Walmart, but unfortunately they are a one stop shop for me, and even more unfortunately they have the best prices in my area. But man, do their registers suck. It's bad enough that they fired all of their human cashiers in favor of self checkout, and it's even worse that they only turn on about 5 of them at a time forcing you to stand in long lines. But what really makes me mad is that don't have Tap to Pay on their card readers.

In my area, even the most backwoods, run-down, hole in the wall gas station has tap to pay ready to go. But not a billion dollar corporation? Makes no sense. So this probably wouldn't be a problem, after all, I can just insert the chip, right? Well, no, because their card readers are crap. I would say about 75% of the time, my card "declines" because the reader doesn't read it properly.

The other day, I had to wait an extra ten minutes checking out because the reader completely froze up. I had to attempt to run my card three times, then when I tried to swipe it, nothing. The attendant came over and told me I should probably call my bank because it's probably a card error. I told her my card works perfectly fine. She rebooted the reader and then it finally accepted my card.

It's just dumb.
