Making a roguelike inspired by tabletop games and RPGs
Hey everyone.
I’ve been working on a mobile game inspired by tabletop games, roguelikes, and classic RPGs.
The idea from the beginning was pretty simple:
I wanted to make a game with short runs that still lets you think a little.
Not another mindless hypercasual game where you just tap the screen and watch numbers go up, but also not something overloaded with systems and complexity. I tried to find a middle ground — simple mechanics that can still create interesting combinations and strategies.
Each level is designed like a small puzzle where you have to think about the best way to approach the fight and spend as few resources as possible for future encounters.
Each side of a die represents a class that you choose before a run, and your build evolves around the classes and combinations you decide to play with. At launch there will be 24 different classes, all changing gameplay in their own ways.
I just wanted to share the project, show a short video, and hear what people think about the idea so far. If anyone’s interested, I’d be happy to share more details about the mechanics and systems in future posts.
