2 Month Running Progress!

Hey guys! I’ve recently started running just about 2 months ago.

My first run (first image) was my 1st attempt at running which didn’t go well unfortunately but from that day I fell in love with the sport. It was always one of my dreams to start running and I kept delaying it with excuses which is definitely one of my biggest regrets.

The first month of running was more unplanned, just ran at a fast pace that I can handle without looking into heart rate zones and other types of training. Unfortunately when I learned about zone 2 training and started to make a plan I injured my foot due to putting my running shoes on too tight for the first time. I had to half my weekly distance and was so gutted, however, after another month of zone 2 running and healing. I thought it was time to see where I’m at now with my PR. Previous to today’s run my PR was 28:47 and today I smashed that time by 3 minutes! I’ve never felt better! Hoping to reach sub 25 soon!

Thankfully my foot is doing 10x better so can’t wait to start increasing my weekly distance up again for my half marathon this September! After looking back, it was definitely worth taking it slow with my foot. If I was to push through it, who knows how much I could have delayed my recovery by.
