Was told by repair guy today to buy a starter for my i1046 from cub cadet but it's $300 and the aftermarket ones on Amazon are $70. Yet he replaced the starter solenoid today with an aftermarket one he had with him. What's the difference? Will the $300 starter last longer? Advice please.

I need a new starter for my i1046. Replaced solenoid today with OEM but repair guy said to order the starter from cub cadet. What do you guys think ? Cub cadet wants $300 for my starter. Amazon wants $70. (Been having trouble getting her cranked up for about a month. Turns over but whines and won't catch). Advice please.
