Was I wrong for reporting these 60 OVR players in Rec?
Just finished a Rec game and ran into two players showing as 60 OVRs.
One finished with 28 points and 18 assists, and the other had 24 points and 12 assists while shooting almost 90%.
Normally I’d just assume they’re skilled players on new builds, but what made me suspicious was that they didn’t play like typical 60 OVRs. They were shooting consistently, seemed unaffected by contests, and moved more like fully upgraded guards than fresh builds.
I checked one of the player cards after the game and the attributes didn’t seem to match what I’d expect from a true 60 overall. From my experience, a 60 OVR usually has very limited badges and struggles to shoot consistently unless left completely open.
I’m not saying they’re definitely cheating, but the combination of:
• 60 OVR display
• Elite production in Rec
• Consistent shooting
• Contest resistance
• Attributes that seemed higher than expected
made me think something wasn’t adding up.
So I reported them and let 2K sort it out.
Was that reasonable, or am I underestimating what a skilled player can do on a 60 OVR build?
