From Reddit to Twitter/X and Instagram, It’s clear that the players who want the game to be arcade-y don’t actually know what they want and are never happy with any changes ever. I felt like in the early 2010s, we had a universally better product when catering to sim heads.

2K11-16 was sim focused and yet a lot of people’s favorite 2k games are in this range. I would love to discuss this with the community.

Literally started investing into a 99 dunk D Rose/Westbrook MyPlayer before patch because I saw how good dunking was. Was having the time of my life in MyCareer in the Lebron Era going back and forth with Rose, Westrook, LeBron, B Griffin and then 2k had to ruin it with the patch. Everytime I beat my defender and they try to catch up under the rim my dunk meter shrinks down to almost nothing even though they have no interior or block, this is absolutely ridiculous.

Trying to enjoy this game but man.... Year after year same ol shit game. Everything feels so inconsistent in this game. Level up agility just to get beat by a 7ft center in 2v2s..... Probably done with this game and won't be buying another 2k for several years. I was hopeful that not purchasing for 3 years would feel like I'm playing an improved game..... Sadly mistaken.

It's comical out there right now. Just had 3s where 2 of us contesting + 1 guy jumping and this dude scores 5 threes like that on us... come on man. This is bullshit, I didn't wanted to believe, but yeah... you so overdid the unnecessary shooting buff 2k. Please revert on Thursday latest. I mean fo' realz.

I am aware that the vast majority of people who see/read this post, will probably ignore it, but we gotta stop accepting the fact that this game is a “money-hook”. And I say that because the devs are very aware that we know this, but they are also aware that not enough people care. Some of the people don’t care simply because it’s a scam masked through the screen of a video game (an illusion). That also explains why a lot of people are unaware of it. We have to realize that this is equivalent to being scammed by buying a $200 phone that doesn’t work or doesn’t works the rights way, off Amazon. If that happened to any of us, we would be pretty mad and ready to report that. Same thing here, spent $200 on a build or two, only for it not to work the way it is supposed to/the way the game allows it to. But since the game provides us with rewards (the majority of rewards won’t help you skip the grind or avoid buying vc) it’s hard to see that. Not only that, but the game gives the player a huge dopamine release when they win/perform well, meaning they could potentially forget about how bad the flaws are.

Even this community is rigged. Despite the fact that you can see negative posts on “X”, they remove any post that’s considered a complaint about 2k or the devs, which would highlight all the positive posts. And since the majority of posts are positive, it would make it harder to see/hear all the different flaws about the game. That is done to keep players blind/unaware of the truth.
(By the way, I won’t be responding to anyone who decides to leave a negative comment about something other than this post).

Out pg quit early because he kept throwing turnovers. The other teams pg shoots right over him going 11/11 for three. Congrats to the clowns who asked for AI to be just like 2k26 and no the intensity does not go up as he keeps scoring played 20 games last couple days same shit.

Nobody is missing anymore in high gold/purple plate lobbies. Don’t get me wrong, I had a lot of fun on 2K26 but I was enjoying the higher difficulties of shooting on 2k27 pre-patch. Oh well.

They just dropped 120 on me all 3’s from about halfcourt. Nice 👌

This is a rant mainly for my offline people but Hall of Fame this year is absolutely terrible. Because 2k recently messed with shot contest, any player over 90 overall literally does not miss. I have a created character with challenger on Legend and it literally doesn’t even matter. Not to mention how the CPU constantly input reads and knows where you’re going before you even move. Your teammates are dog shit, they shoot contested shots, constantly get blocked, turn the ball over, not to mention the cherry picking the CPU does is insane. I love how also the CPU knows EXACTLY what animations to force to score buckets regardless of how good of defense you play. And guess what here’s the kicker, if you lower the difficulty, you’ll just be playing a brain dead CPU and you’ll be blowing them out before halftime. It’s crazy how on hall of fame you have to spam pick and rolls and double down screens for 3s and constantly abuse certain animations to exploit just to beat the hall of fame cpu. I just want to play real basketball but I cannot. Either rage on hall of fame or blow the cpu out by 2nd quarter there is no in between. I literally had to lower this shit to rookie just to have fun lmfao.
