How to evict a roommate that wants to sue me.

I share the kitchen with my roommate (and others) and I'm the child of the owner of the townhouse. But I'm acting as the landlord since I'm signing the papers.

He (my roommate) threatened to sue me in civil court(?). He wasn't clear, he just says he will talk to his legal party if I don't give him a "X" figure sum. So I haven't been served yet since this is very recent and I of course said no. I won't say what he's suing me for, but I plan to retain a lawyer and defend it when he does. I do think he will act on it.

We signed a standard lease even though the RTA doesn't apply. So I'm not even sure what elements of this standard lease is even valid. Does all the things in the appendix and his tenant rights even apply?

In any case, his tenancy ended a while back and he wanted to stay for another Y months and I agreed with the same $X/mo amount. We didn't sign another paper contract in part because he refused, so I'm assuming we are going month by month with the same terms as the previous standard lease (whatever they are).

He only paid part of $X this month and not the full amount yet. He says he will pay the full amount for this month later.

I don't want to share my kitchen, fridge, laundry room, (live together!) etc. with someone who have hostilities with me and threatened to sue me. Can I refuse his rent and tell him to leave in 30 days and it's legal for me to do so? I did verbally agree to continue renting to him for another Y months.

Hidden camera in kitchen

I have a roommate who is also the landlord that shares a kitchen with me and 2 other roommates at a townhouse.

He had an undisclosed, hidden security camera which records the kitchen. When I asked him about having a camera, he lied about not having a camera before I pointed out where the camera was.

He said the camera was there to record thefts or potential damages.

He later told me he took the camera down.

Can I sue him for intrusion upon seclusion or anything else?
