Let's Go JC!
Excited to watch Jazz legend Jordan Clarkson win a championship!

Excited to watch Jazz legend Jordan Clarkson win a championship!
My Top 3 are
DP. The kid is just a baller. I hate comparisons so I won't make any, but DP is the dictionary definition of basketball player.
Booz. I think he is closer to DP than AJ is to Booz. Everyone wants to find the minor faults in Boozer's game, but there aren't many.
I'm not knocking AJ or his game by putting him at 3, it's just the top 2 are complete basketball players. AJ has the athleticism and size to pass DP and Booz, but he still needs to refine some parts of his game.
If I was drafting BPA and not upside or potential, that's my order.
It's also why I want the Jazz to take Boozer over AJ IF the Wizards take DP.
Who do you think makes the most sense to trade down and take advantage of the Thunder's desire to give up multiple picks?
This might be a hot take, but I think the Hawks should jump on the offer of 8 for 12&17. They could then trade 23 for a future pick to another team.
If I were the Hawks, I'd rather have Ledenborg and Steinbach/Quaitance than Flemings and Koa Peat.
Tyler Metcalf of No Ceilings goes through some film and breaks down strengths and weaknesses of DP's game.
It's a 30 min watch, but I highly recommend the apx 26 min mark to see some insight in DP's defense.
Darryn is going to go down as an all-time Jazz legend.
One thing that's stood out to me from the Spurs and Thunder series is the lack of post scoring.
I've been rewatching Jazz games post deadline and it's crazy to see how good JJJ is with his back to the basket. (Also fun to picture Kessler and Flip instead of Nurk and Love in the highlights)
Kessler is a beast down low. He doesn't get a lot of post up opportunities, but he is a great offensive rebounder and great in the PnR.
The ability to iso JJJ in the post and force double teams is going to leave a lot of open shots.
Not enough love has been given to this man. He is exactly the type of dude that would have started for Jerry Sloan over a high draft pick.
I hope Konchar feels the love here.
(Just to educate the uninitiated. Jitty is a made up word he and a buddy used in college. Slang for just about anything.)
In talking roster spots one name that isn't mentioned much is Hayden.
Just turned 23, played college ball UC San Diego, and was with the Celtics gleague team.
He averaged over 2 steals a game last year. Averaged over 3 steals in college and almost led UC San Diego to an upset of Michigan.
I would guess we see Hayden and Bez on the summer league team. Both are definitely Austin Ainge type players and validate his preaching of defense being important.
There is a rumor floating that the Jazz may be interested in a 2nd pick, most likely in the 2nd round.
The Jazz currently have 10 players guaranteed roster spots. Kessler and the #2 pick would fill 12 spots leaving 3 open.
Should the Jazz use up one of those 3 roster spots on abother pick?
(For the fellow draft nerds, is there anyone projected for the 2nd round that you like?)
Curious what Pistons fans think..
Keyonte would be a great pairing with Cade and could create offense when Cade is on the bench. His passing and shooting made a huge jump this season and will be a MIP candidate next season.
Jazz will have a more talented replacement in Darryn. This also helps the Jazz avoid going into the 1st Apron next off-season.
Holland has upside, but can't play due to his limited offense. Jazz need more defensive wings and have proven they can develop young guys. Pick this year is hopefully Cenac at #21 plus a couple good 2nd rounders.
I think the top 3 in this draft and all the guards 5-10 have incredible upside. In some cases I would have players essentially tied based on talent, potential, measurables, etc.
What do you use as a tiebreaker when ranking players, especially those of different positions?
