Does the stock 2022 VB WRX alloy wheel with the stock Dunlop tire fit properly in the spare tire well for you all?
I’m currently running Michelin Pilot Sport AS4s on the car, but I kept one of my stock Dunlop tires mounted on the OEM wheel as a full-size spare. I tried fitting it into the trunk spare tire area, but it doesn’t seem to sit flush properly. The tire keeps hitting the plastic trim on the sides and won’t fully drop in.
My Spare Setup is: 245/40R18 on the stock WRX wheel. I have attached few picks for reference!
I tried inserting it at different angles, but still no luck. How did you all deal with this on your VB WRX? Did you remove or trim the plastic side pieces, deflate the tire a little, or is there another way to make it fit properly?
Any advice or pics of your setup would be appreciated. Not trying to force it and end up breaking the trim lol.
