Universal credit suddenly not paying child care costs
Long story short, I work full time 37 hours a week and my partner has an apprenticeship he is not currently paid for as skills based (tattoo artist). He is out of the house 4 days a week, and i do a job from home that means I cannot look after.my child. My child is in school and I need both wraparound care and holiday clubs to be able to keep working.
UC have now decided we dont qualify for child care costs after months of paying them, and I am now seriously considering packing working in all together as I have no family who can help and I cannot afford £750 for a single summer holiday.
Why could this be? He is working with the expectation of being paid once his apprenticeship ends and he only took it so we could eventually come *off* of uc. I feel im going mad.
