Hey everyone,

A few months ago I'd bought a arrow exhaust for my Yamaha MT-07, around €1300 and after riding in/after wet weather I noticed this black/brown “rain-like” staining on the gold header pipes.

I first thought it was just dirt or road grime, but now that I finally took some time to clean I've realized it doesn't come off. Tried cleaning it with warm soapy water, but it did nothing.

I also tried gently rubbing with WD-40 on a microfiber cloth, but I was already certain it's baked into the finish.

The discoloration is mostly on the upper bends near the engine/radiator area, where the headers get hottest.

I've already accepted this, but I was wondering was this preventable? Thnx in advance
