Tonkatsu ENbiton @ Suntec

Viral thick-cut katsu! Finally get to try after seeing it all over TikTok but couldn't find in SG. A bit hard to eat, especially if you want to get the rice in each bite. But texture wise, it wasn't tough at all. Nice crunchy golden brown and juicy.

I prefer the donburi more, the rice with fluffy egg and the scoop of demi glaze or soy sauce they gave to add on top made it so good with the katsu.

The normal katsu set still good, there's sesame seeds and also some Japanese barbeque sauce at every table you can add to the rice if you want. The set has more meat so also a bit more shiok too

If you do want to try, don't go too late in the day. Each outlet only has 30 portions available for the whole day for now since it's a new item.

NiKU iKU @ Our Tampines Hub

Sister brand of WOK HEY, this outlet of NiKU iKU at Tampines is their first dine in outlet. They offer Japanese -style bentos from $7.80 with option for add ons like double protein, various veggies, eggs, etc.

Very good portion size for the price! Even without the add ons it's filling and tasty. Each meal is made to order like WOK HEY, you can see them grilling live too. The containers are microwaveable so its easy to reheat if you can't finish or if you're taking away for the next day. I liked the beef yakinuku with the grilled pumpkin and onsen egg with the gobo rice.
