Waist 2 sizes too big
Tldr: Please give me some practical advice, do you buy the bigger size to fit the waist and have the looser fabric at bust and hip tailored?
Hi All, I haven't bought nice clothes in a loooooong time (because covid and the continued work from home meant my daily uniform was t-shirt and sweatpants) but I have a new job that actually requires me to travel a fair bit and meet people face to face. So I'm updating my wardrobe with a few staples but sizing charts are weird. Across the board according to most measurement charts (bust, hips) I'm an AUS size 12, BUT my waist is deceptively large at 94cm (endo inflammation probably). This means I have to buy AUS size 18, because I have a preference for tight fitting cottony garments. Am I the problem or are our collective sizing just a tad out of touch, does anyone else have this issue - if you do how do you shop? A lot of the brands I like are only online.
