OHP vs Trillium ?
I’m currently pregnant and on OHP specifically the pregnancy Medicaid. My therapist will stop taking it in June and only take it through Trillium. I’ve done some research and I’m just kind of confused on how it works and if it would be worth switching. I’ve heard people have a harder time getting approved through them or getting things covered. I’m also just confused because I’d have to make sure my OB and the hospital I’m delivering at will take it but I thought it was the same thing? Only certain offices of my OB take it. I’m also worried about coverage for a pediatrician when my baby is born because right now my baby would be covered under my benefits for a year. Would it change a lot? How does it work? And is it worth changing everything to keep my therapist? The only reason I’m even considering it is because I’ve had my therapist for almost two years and I really really like her and don’t want to have to go through finding a new one but I don’t want to put myself in a situation where both me and the baby aren’t covered or have to fight to be covered.
