Chief dropped tail without reason
Basically what the title says, when I woke up this morning my Leo Chief had dropped his tail. I didn't pick him up at all last night, or do anything with him. He was shedding last night, and now the shed is gone, but that's the only thing out of the ordinary.
He's 5 years old in a 40 gallon with tile. He is taken out for handling and exploration semi frequently, and was taken to the vet a few months ago due to constipation and fatty liver disease treatment (he's overweight and on a diet). He's always been kinda brave so this is shocking to me. He was fairly calm when I cleaned out his cage and removed his tail.
If y'all have any idea why he did that, and if I need to take any additional steps please let me know 🙏
