Pico's Unofficial MRC-enabled Mixed Reality Capture Apps
Pico's Mixed Reality Capture allows you to make a video of yourself standing inside the scene while playing a VR video game. It uses the MRC app on the Pico headset combined with the Pico app on your mobile phone. If you are not familiar with how to make official Pico MRC recordings, follow the instructions in the MRC app on the Pico headset. There are only 10 official MRC-enabled global Pico apps. A MRC video made with those apps will properly record the background from the perspective of the mobile phone camera during your gameplay. While a MRC recording is in progress and you can see the red recording light, you can quit the current headset app and play any other app on your headset while the recording continues. Most MRC recordings made while playing other apps will only record your jerky headset view as the scene background. But some of the other apps do properly record the camera perspective as the scene background.
The list below contains some Pico apps I have found to be unofficially MRC-enabled, properly recording the background from the perspective of the camera. There are probably dozens of others. Even though the background view in these apps is recorded properly, some apps like Dragon Fist are not really suitable for MRC recording because the game avatar is overlaid onto the player. All MRC recordings are a few seconds out of audio synch, which requires adjusting with a video editor if you want proper audio-video synchronization. Some Android phones are unable to record MRC through the Pico mobile app.
