Which dress is better? I like both dresses but have been getting mixed opinions on which looks best

I’ve been invited to a wedding at the Grand Soho Hotel in New York at the end of June.

Ceremony is at 3.30pm and the dress code is formal. Although I wouldn’t normally say that backless was appropriate for formal I think given the setting and general vibe I can get away with it - also I plan to wear my hair down which will cover it mostly anyway.

Additionally I’m gonna need body tape but I’m allergic to latex and the adhesive in a most brands of plasters (bandaids) and tapes including hypoallergenic K-tape with an acrylic based adhesive. I’d really appreciate recommendations!
