Hey everyone, my 2012 Legacy has been sitting a bit and the battery leaked around the positive terminal causing it to deteriorate. I have a new replacement terminal and a new battery ready to go in. I've soaked the old terminal in penetrating oil for 3 days and the screw will not budge. I've seen folks say to just cut the old one off, strip back the insulation and install the new one. Mine does not have much slack and I'm concerned about it reaching the battery if cut. I've also never seen one quite like this. What's under the Insulation? It appears like there's a flat piece of metal underneath but I can't tell how far down it goes. Should I just strip it back and find out? Any help would be appreciated, or even a link to a video with this specific type of terminal
