I migrated my build over from the wonderful 6500x which featured 13 fans, triple 360 radiators and dual custom loops. It was my dream build and I was hesitant to take it apart, however when I first saw the Air 5400, I just knew it would be my next case.
The build quality of the case is fantastic, and the separation AIO chamber is genius. I just makes so much sense. Is super simple to build in and cable management is a breeze due to having so much room in the back. I was a bit worried about the case being too wide, but it is only very slightly wider than the 6500. I posted some comparison pictures in a previous post.
The thing I liked most about my previous build (and other custom loop builds I have built) is the silence. I thought that would be a compromise going back to an AIO and air-cooled GPU, but I was wrong. The build it both cool and quiet, questioning wether I will ever go back to custom cooling in future.
Specs:
9800x3D,
64GB (2x32gb) Corsair Dominator Titanium,
Asus B650e-e,
Nvidia 4080 super FE,
Corsair Shift RM1200x,
Corsair Titan 360 LCD,
LX120 fans
Temperature wise, during gaming the CPU is in the low 60’s and GPU in the high 60’s. AIO fans have been setup with a custom curve, but they usually max out at around 1200RPM after a couple of hours of gaming. Main chamber fans are fixed at 800RPM.
I’m very happy with how this build turned out and the Air 5400 has now become my new favourite case.
